You already know things the next apprentice would give anything to know before they signed. Whether the pay was what they said. Whether anyone actually taught you. Whether it was a decent place to be at 7am.

It takes about a minute. Two fields are required — a rating and what it was like — and everything else is optional. You can stay completely anonymous.

A person reads every review before it goes up. We publish what apprentices actually wrote — we don't write them, edit their meaning, or take them down because an employer asked.

How this works

  • A person reads every review. Nothing appears on the site automatically. We check it reads like a real experience before it goes up, usually within a couple of days.
  • Your email is never published.We ask for it only so we can confirm the review is real and let you know when it's live. Leave it blank if you'd rather.
  • You can stay anonymous.Leave the name blank and the review publishes without one. Don't put your surname or an exact start date in — small trades are small, and that identifies you.
  • We don't take reviews down because an employer asked.We correct facts that are wrong. We don't remove an honest opinion someone didn't like. Our editorial policysays exactly what we will and won't publish.

What makes a review useful

Specifics. "Good employer" helps nobody; "I was on the tools from week one and my boss put me through my Level 4 without me asking" tells someone what to look for. The same goes the other way — if you spent two years sweeping floors, say so plainly.

Write about your own experience rather than what you heard. That's the part only you can give.
